Thanks to everyone who came to the demo in Calgary on January 16th and packed out the place!  Leah and I had a lot of fun and enjoyed seeing many good friends.  A big thanks to Doug and everyone at Swinton’s Art Supply.

We opened the floor to anyone who wanted to put in a name for the painting and got over 50 unique ideas! Here are just a few:

– Looking for Ansers (anser is latin for goose) – very clever!
– Bugger off, she’s mine!
– A couple of quacks
– Goosed again
– Checking out the chick
– I’m a honkytonk man

I am honored to have received the Best Floral Award for “White On White” (pictured below) in the Oct/Nov Plein Air Salon Competition.  Thank you to Joseph McGurl who judged the competition, and Plein Air Magazine!  The painting will be featured in their February issue.

This event features paintings and sculptures by Museum Prix de West artists and other invited artists.  Two of my pieces shown below are in the show.
